Continuing a new gold run of releases, The Allergies are back with the latest rap banger from their forthcoming album.
This time they’ve recruited New York rhyme royalty, Ohmega Watts. And the hip-hop hero steps up to the task of flowing over one of the toughest beats of the year. And, hands down, the hardest deep funk direction The Allergies have ever taken us on.
The rap veteran delivers his electrically charged and thought-provoking lyrics over maxed out drums of death. Throwing shade at shallow fakers, and taking pin-point shots at those that don’t do this for the art.
It’s boom-bap rap, cut from the finest cloth. With expertly chopped and layered breaks and samples crackling over haunted piano and guitar licks. Leaving space for anthemic, sweeping drones to swell as the man on the mic delivers a sermon you can’t help but bang your head to.
No Flash drops on July 12th on Jalapeno Records.
The single is taken from The Allergies next album, Freak The Speaker, dropping on September 20th.
The Allergies are touring extensively in the run up to and post album release.
