California-native producer Freddie Joachim announces his full length LP Beyond The Sea Of Trees, to be released via Jakarta Records in May 2019. The first cut from the forthcoming record is the “Backyards (ft. Natalie Oliveri)” single, out on Friday, 19th April.
Growing up as an avid listener and collector of music, Freddie Joachim began djing in the mid 90’s, which progressed into recording and producing his own music. Since then, he has produced music featuring the likes of J.Cole, Joey Bada$$, Aloe Blacc, Blu, Grap Luva, LMNO, Ozay Moore, Kev Brown, and more. He has performed around the world, headlining shows in Asia, South Africa, Europe, and North America, sharing the stage with artists such as, Jean Grae, Joss Stone, Jimmy Cliff, Ali Shaheed Muhammad (ATCQ), Teeko, DJ Babu, Rakaa Iriscience, Bobbito, Scoop Deville, Blu, Choice37, and others.
Freddie gained worldwide notoriety through his work with Brooklyn rapper Joey Bada$$ with their single Waves. Renowned rapper J.Cole later picked up the same instrumental for his False Prophets release.
Over the past 15 years Freddie has remained prolific, releasing albums and singles, the majority of which with San Francisco based label, Mellow Orange. His signature jazzy and soulful sound can be heard across all of his releases. And as Freddie grows and matures, so does his music. This is particularly evident in his latest release, Beyond The Sea Of Trees, with German based, Jakarta Records. The album is another instrumental endeavor by Freddie, featuring artists including FloFilz, Elijah Fox, and Natalie Oliveri.
Freddie Joachim’s Beyond The Sea Of Trees album will be released in May 2019. Pre-order via Bandcamp.
