Ozay shares the inspiration behind the Taking L’s project:
We all know what its like to be on the receiving end of “Bad”. The point “Taking L’s” is attempting to make is that “L’s can be flipped into W’s”. It’s a perspective thing. As a “Big Picture” seeker, I often connect events in my life (and others) all together. Good is always at the expense of something or someone. I can see how an “L” taken a year ago has benefited me today. In the spirit of this album, I would like to hear from ya’ll briefly how you’ve flipped L’s into progress, and growth.

This album is some of Ozay’s best work to date. I’ve been waiting for a while for him to drop some new material, and it was very well worth the wait. He never disappoints.
